Role Overview

We are seeking a full-time, onsite Horticulturist to join our team at Namami Wellness Resort in Kochi. This role involves managing and nurturing gardens and landscaped spaces through tasks such as planting, pruning, soil management, pest control, and regular seasonal maintenance. The incumbent will be responsible for monitoring plant vitality, establishing and executing irrigation plans, collaborating closely with maintenance staff, and ensuring outdoor areas reflect the resort’s emphasis on wellness and aesthetics.

Additional duties include supporting projects aimed at enhancing the landscape, offering expert guidance on plant species selection, and maintaining safe, pristine, and welcoming outdoor environments for visitors.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proven expertise in gardening and landscape maintenance practices.
• Strong knowledge in landscape design and irrigation systems essential for comprehensive outdoor upkeep.
• Foundational understanding of botany and plant health evaluation.
• Hands-on experience with pest management, soil enhancement, and sustainable horticulture techniques.
• Possession of a diploma or degree in Horticulture, Botany, Agriculture, or allied disciplines is preferred.
• Capability to perform physically demanding work outdoors under diverse weather conditions.
• Demonstrated attention to detail, effective time management, and teamwork to coordinate with other resort departments.
• Previous experience working in resort, hotel, or commercial landscape environments is advantageous.
