Overview
Join Specsavers as a Home Visits Optical Assistant, a unique role where you provide vital eye care services directly to patients unable to visit stores, all while working across diverse locations within North Wales. This role offers the opportunity to bring essential care and joy to the heart of various communities by delivering clinical eye care at patients' doorsteps.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver eye care and dispense lenses confidently at all levels during home visits.
- Travel extensively across the North Wales area to serve vulnerable patients in their homes.
- Adapt to different testing environments, ensuring no two days are the same.
Requirements
- Hold a current full UK driving licence, enabling travel throughout the designated region.
- Possess at least six months to one year of recent optical experience, with confidence in dispensing lenses at all levels.
- Flexibility to cover various locations within the service territory, primarily aiming to keep proximity to home where possible.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a dynamic, fast-paced retail environment with customer interaction.
- Previous exposure to optical settings and basic optical knowledge.
- Comfortable using digital tools including tablets and laptops, and ability to quickly adapt to new systems.
