About the Role
Velocity Classes ICL is seeking enthusiastic and knowledgeable Home Tutors / Academic Mentors who will deliver personalized, one-on-one academic guidance directly at the student's home. This role extends beyond standard teaching to include understanding each learner's unique needs, reinforcing academic fundamentals, monitoring progress, and facilitating an organized and engaging educational experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct individual tutoring sessions at the student's residence.
- Deliver curriculum-based teaching customized to the student's academic level and requirements.
- Create lesson plans aligned with the student's goals and learning capabilities.
- Clarify subject matter effectively using real-life examples and suitable instructional methods.
- Regularly evaluate academic progress and pinpoint areas needing focus.
- Assign homework, practice tasks, revisions, and prepare students for examinations.
- Uphold professionalism, punctuality, discipline, and foster a positive learning atmosphere.
- Communicate academic feedback and updates to coordinators or parents.
- Modify teaching techniques based on individual student's strengths, pace, and challenges.
- Support improvement in conceptual understanding, study habits, and confidence.
Candidate Profile & Eligibility
- Holds a Bachelor's or Master's degree or possesses relevant academic qualifications.
- Students currently pursuing higher education with substantial subject knowledge may be considered.
- Strong mastery of subject material is essential.
- Excellent verbal communication and instructional skills.
- Demonstrates patience and aptitude to engage learners across different levels.
- Professional demeanor, punctuality, and dedication to consistent teaching schedules.
- Prior experience in tutoring or teaching is advantageous.
- Ability to establish positive professional relationships with students and parents.
