About the Role
The Holiday Supervisor will spearhead the design, organization, and execution of customized holiday and travel packages that align with client needs. Responsible for managing all aspects of holiday operations, this role focuses on delivering exceptional service, ensuring operational effectiveness, driving revenue through innovative travel solutions, and maintaining compliance with industry standards and travel regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor the Holidays Coordinator to ensure superior customer service and travel experiences.
- Oversee holiday planning, package development, and travel arrangements from start to finish.
- Evaluate customer requirements and devise personalized holiday packages considering preferences, budgets, and objectives.
- Coordinate comprehensive travel logistics including flights, lodging, transportation, tours, insurance, and visas.
- Act as the main point of contact for addressing client complaints and resolving service issues promptly.
- Gather and analyze customer feedback to implement improvements that enhance satisfaction and loyalty.
- Create and market appealing travel packages by researching destinations, trends, costs, visa mandates, and cultural factors.
- Negotiate with airlines, hotels, tour operators, and partners to secure competitive rates and arrangements.
- Manage reservation processing, ensuring accuracy, confirmation, and compliance with relevant policies.
- Maintain precise travel documentation and supply customers with detailed itineraries and destination information.
- Identify operational efficiencies and cost-saving opportunities for continual process enhancement.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Strong expertise in travel planning, holiday package formulation, and destination management.
- Proficiency with Computer Reservation Systems (CRS), Global Distribution Systems (GDS), and online travel platforms.
- Comprehensive understanding of airline protocols, fare rules, ticketing processes, travel insurance, and visa requirements.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Familiarity with ERP systems, particularly SAP, is preferred.
- Leadership capabilities and team management experience.
- Excellent customer service orientation and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to negotiate and maintain relationships with travel vendors and customers.
- Adaptability, resilience, quality-focus, and awareness of AI applications in travel operations.
Educational Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in Tourism, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline is required. Professional certifications in travel, tourism, or hospitality fields are considered a plus.
Experience Requirements
- At least five years of cumulative experience in travel, tourism, or hospitality industries.
- A minimum of three years specializing in holiday package design, travel operations, or reservations management.
- Experience within the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region is preferred.
- Demonstrated success in customer relationship management, travel planning, and overseeing teams.
