HMC Machine Operator

Role Overview

This position requires a minimum of 2 to 3 years of exclusive operational experience with Horizontal Machining Centers (HMC). Candidates must demonstrate a thorough understanding of the mechanical and operational aspects of HMC machines while prioritizing accuracy, efficiency, and safety in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret and analyze engineering blueprints, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), and component specifications independently.
• Set up components and fixtures for production runs autonomously, including adjustment and re-setting tasks.
• Manage tooling by selecting the right tools, ensuring their compatibility with materials, and handling tool assembly and loading procedures.
• Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring tools to guarantee component dimensional conformity.
• Operate machine control panels for minor program modifications, coordinate adjustments, and tool offsets.
• Handle raw materials such as castings and forgings safely using hoists and overhead cranes.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with 5S standards and personal protective equipment protocols.
• Adhere strictly to punctuality, shift schedules, and production discipline to ensure smooth shop-floor operations.

Essential Qualifications & Skills

• Prior experience primarily with HMC machines; familiarity with other CNC or VMC equipment is secondary.
• Strong technical knowledge of HMC machine mechanics and kinematics.
• Proven ability to execute zero-defect machining with stringent adherence to quality standards.
