Position Summary
PLC Sydney seeks a skilled, dynamic, and collaborative History Teacher to join its dedicated faculty full-time starting Term 1, 2027. This role involves teaching motivated students through the Cambridge International History curriculum alongside mandatory NESA History courses in a well-equipped and progressive learning environment.
Key Duties
- Deliver lessons for Cambridge IGCSE History.
- Teach the updated Cambridge International AS & A Level History syllabus.
- Prepare and instruct mandatory NESA History classes for Stage 4 and/or Stage 5.
- Create engaging, challenging, and inclusive teaching materials and assessments tailored to diverse student needs.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues within the department to promote academic achievement and share effective teaching strategies.
Candidate Requirements
- Possess formal secondary teaching qualifications in history with current NESA registration.
- Demonstrate substantial experience and proficiency delivering Cambridge International History programs, with strong pedagogical abilities.
- Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish an inclusive and high-achieving classroom atmosphere.
