Job description
Role Overview
As a Hire Controller, you will guide customers in selecting appropriate equipment for their projects, ranging from excavators to power tools. Your duties include managing customer inquiries via phone, email, and in-person at the branch, accurately handling rental orders, quotes, and contracts from initiation to completion, and organizing equipment pick-up and returns to ensure a seamless customer experience.
You will also identify complementary equipment and products that could benefit customers and swiftly resolve any issues they face. Collaboration with colleagues to maintain an orderly and welcoming branch environment is essential, alongside delivering prompt, professional, and courteous service at every customer interaction.

Candidate Profile
- Proficient in IT with experience in Windows applications and/or hire-related computer systems
- Exceptional customer service abilities combined with tactful communication skills
- Polite and friendly telephone manner
- Strong teamwork orientation and enjoyment of collaborative work environments
- Availability to work full-time hours
- Possession of valid UK work authorization (the employer does not sponsor visas or relocation)
