Role Overview

The academy is looking for a dedicated High School Mathematics Teacher to join their team immediately. The successful applicant will inspire curiosity, nurture a passion for scientific inquiry, and contribute to the school's ongoing success.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver dynamic, interactive Mathematics lessons for high school students according to school curriculum and educational standards
• Create and apply innovative teaching methods that stimulate interest in Mathematics and enhance critical thinking
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a supportive learning atmosphere
• Ensure seamless progression and continuity in curriculum execution
• Adapt instruction to address varied student learning needs
• Cultivate an inclusive and positive classroom environment encouraging exploration and curiosity
• Engage with parents through conferences and maintain transparent communication on student progress
• Contribute to school life through participation in enrichment activities and professional development

Candidate Profile

• Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related degree coupled with a teaching qualification such as PGCE or equivalent State License, specialising in Mathematics
• Experience teaching IB Mathematics or Common Core Mathematics at the high school level, preferably within American or IB curriculum settings
• Strong grasp of inquiry-based and practical Mathematics teaching methodologies
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff
• Commitment to ongoing professional growth and delivering exceptional educational experiences
