Role Overview
The Healthy Practice Adviser acts as a dependable advisor to healthcare practices, assisting throughout the employee lifecycle. This role involves partnering with practice owners and managers to provide counsel on employment relations topics, people management processes, recruitment, performance oversight, disciplinary actions, restructuring, policies, and overall workplace best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing advisory services while cultivating strong relationships with clients.
- Creating practical tools and resource templates for clients.
- Supporting the ongoing development and expansion of the Healthy Practice service.
- Enhancing personal expertise and presentation capabilities.
- Representing MAS in employment relations presentations to health sector audiences including organizational leadership and conference attendees.
Qualifications and Experience
- Proven experience in HR advisory, preferably in similar roles.
- Robust understanding of New Zealand employment law and HR best practices.
- Hands-on experience with performance management, disciplinary procedures, investigations, and other employment relations matters.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Effective relationship-building skills across diverse stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational abilities with multitasking capacity.
- Customer-oriented mindset with a genuine interest in supporting others' success.
