Health Plan Pricing Analyst

Role Overview

The Health Plan Pricing Analyst plays a key role in receiving and reviewing necessary collateral and assigning appropriate medical rates for prospective clients. Utilizing specialized industry tools developed by third-party experts and partner carriers, the analyst carefully evaluates documents and census data to accurately price medical plans based on risk profiles.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently review prospect census, medical plans, and rates to assign suitable medical pricing corresponding to the prospect’s risk.
• Analyze required documentation employing various tools, including a designated medical pricing system.
• Collaborate effectively with sales teams to ensure pricing alignment and understanding.
• Contribute to enhancement efforts by assessing tool outputs and recommending improvements to pricing processes and resources.
• Perform additional duties as assigned while adhering to company policies and standards.

Educational and Experience Requirements

• Possess a Bachelor's degree or possess comparable experience.
• Typically require over 2 years of relevant experience.
• Prior exposure to insurance pricing is preferable.

Skills and Competencies

• Capable of interpreting and analyzing complex medical plans and associated documentation.
• Strong mathematical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Independent and self-directed work ethic to complete projects with minimal oversight.
• Adept at multitasking and managing several assignments concurrently.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, with intermediate Excel skills.
• Effective communication skills to coordinate with sales personnel regarding health plan pricing criteria.

• Primarily office-based work located in Hyderabad, Telangana, India.
