Head – Training & Placement

Position Overview

The role of Head – Training & Placement Cell involves overseeing the comprehensive placement processes for IT, Technology, and skill enhancement programs. The incumbent will be responsible for preparing candidates for IT industry employment, sustaining corporate partnerships, orchestrating campus recruitment drives, and delivering strong placement results in areas such as Software Development, Data Science, AI, Cyber Security, Cloud technologies, DevOps, and Digital Marketing.

Core Responsibilities

• Create and administer placement preparation programs involving technical skill assessments, coding tests, aptitude, communication skills, and interview readiness.
• Conduct mock technical and HR interviews, coding evaluations, and project reviews to gauge student competence.
• Train students in resume development, GitHub/portfolio curation, LinkedIn profile optimization, and professional interview conduct.
• Assess student preparedness based on competencies, project work, certifications, and overall performance.
• Plan and carry out both physical and virtual campus placement events targeting diverse IT roles including Software Developer, Data Scientist, AI/ML Engineer, Cyber Security Analyst, Cloud/DevOps Engineer, and Digital Marketing Executive.
• Manage the entire recruitment drive process encompassing pre-placement discussions, technical screenings, interviews, and offer administration.
• Monitor key metrics such as placement rates, compensation packages, domain-specific placements, and confirmation of joining.
• Establish and nurture partnerships with IT companies, startups, product enterprises, service providers, and HR consultancies for collaborations including internships and live projects.
• Organize industry expert sessions, tech lectures, hackathons, and recruitment events to enhance student engagement.
• Align curriculum content with current IT market demands and emerging technology trends.
• Maintain comprehensive databases for students and recruiters, tracking skills, certifications, placement readiness, offers, joining details, and feedback.
• Utilize CRM and spreadsheet tools to produce analytical reports, dashboards, and management information systems.
• Offer career guidance focused on IT roles, project selection, specialization, freelancing opportunities, and internships.
• Lead and coordinate a team comprising placement coordinators, counselors, trainers, and academic leaders to achieve placement goals and continuously improve outcomes.

Educational Qualifications

A bachelor’s or master’s degree in relevant fields is required, with preference for MBA, MCA, or M.Tech degrees.

Experience Requirements

Applicants should have 4 to 8 years of professional experience in IT training and placement, technical recruiting, or career services, preferably within IT institutions, skill development centers, or educational technology companies.
