Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Head Section Waitstaff to lead and manage a restaurant section, ensuring exceptional food and beverage service while maintaining high standards in a fast-paced setting.

Key Duties

• Supervise and lead your assigned section, guaranteeing seamless and high-quality service.
• Welcome guests, manage seating arrangements, and provide attentive, professional service throughout their visit.
• Take and coordinate detailed food and drink orders, demonstrating thorough knowledge of menu items, specials, and wine pairings.
• Mentor and support junior wait staff through training, guidance, and constructive feedback.
• Handle table allocations and coordinate between kitchen and bar teams to optimize service flow.
• Address guest queries and complaints promptly and professionally.
• Ensure all workplace health, safety, hygiene, and Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) regulations are strictly followed.
• Contribute toward maintaining overall service excellence and support restaurant operations.

Candidate Requirements

• At least two years' experience in a similar restaurant waitstaff role.
• In-depth understanding of food and beverage service, including proficiency in wine and cocktail service.
• Ability to perform effectively in high-pressure and high-volume environments.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to foster a positive guest experience.
• Strong dedication to delivering excellent customer service.
• Possession of a valid RSA certificate.

Compensation and Working Conditions

This full-time role offers an annual salary of $80,000 Grade 4+ plus superannuation, aligned with industry standards. Evening and weekend shifts are part of the role.
