Head of Planning

Role Overview

We are in search of a highly skilled, action-oriented Head of Planning to steer our 30-member project controls group throughout the Gulf Cooperation Council region. This position demands active, operational leadership with a focus on technical accuracy and execution.

Primary Responsibilities

• Conduct hands-on quality audits and authorize all baseline schedules prepared using Primavera P6, including resource allocations and critical path evaluations, prior to client delivery.
• Lead and supervise a substantial team of approximately 30 planning engineers working across various regional project locations.
• Drive daily monitoring of project schedules, address deviations, analyze delays, and manage resource distribution to maintain progress.
• Manage personnel deployment on site, including the planning and execution of complex demobilization strategies as projects conclude.
• Represent the company in crucial meetings with clients, project management consultants, and stakeholders to align schedules and approve baselines.

Qualifications and Experience

• Significant experience gained within engineering or project management consultancy firms, or from leading main contractors.
• Demonstrated success working in the UAE and wider GCC region, with additional experience on major projects in Saudi Arabia considered highly valuable.
• Advanced technical knowledge of Primavera P6 software with expertise in detailed schedule and delay analysis.
• A commanding leadership presence combined with meticulous operational and detail-focused capabilities.
