Role Overview

Perspectum Ltd invites an experienced MRI physicist to lead its MRI Physics team, spearheading the advancement of quantitative MRI methods, imaging biomarkers, and innovative software solutions poised to enhance patient care significantly. This unique leadership role bridges scientific excellence with strategic direction within a forward-thinking healthcare technology company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and professional development to a team of MRI physicists and engineers.
  • Establish and execute the Physics strategic plan to ensure alignment with corporate goals and scientific progress.
  • Oversee the creation and enhancement of quantitative MRI technologies, methodologies, and product lines.
  • Manage physics programs and projects to guarantee high quality, effective prioritization, and timely delivery.
  • Serve as the principal MRI physics authority across the organization, collaborating with Product, Engineering, Regulatory, Quality Assurance, Commercial, and Scientific departments.
  • Forge and sustain partnerships with academic institutions, clinical settings, and industry bodies.
  • Contribute expert scientific and technical insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Represent the company at professional conferences, scientific partnerships, client interactions, and relevant industry events.

Candidate Profile

  • Holds an MSc, PhD, or comparable advanced degree specializing in MRI Physics or related disciplines.
  • Possesses substantial postdoctoral research or industrial experience within MRI physics or quantitative imaging fields.
  • Demonstrates success in leading and nurturing high-achieving scientific or technical teams.
  • Experience managing and delivering complex scientific or technical projects in multidisciplinary environments.
  • Strong proficiency in MRI physics, quantitative imaging techniques, and innovative scientific approaches.
  • Skills in scientific computing and/or software development.
  • Communicates effectively with both technical peers and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with quantitative MRI methodologies on clinical MRI systems.
  • Background in commercial product development processes.
  • Exposure to clinical trial imaging operations.
  • Development experience with Software as a Medical Device (SaMD).
  • An interest in physiological applications involving multiple organ systems.
