Head of Data & AI

Overview

A leading education organization in the UAE seeks a senior executive to lead its Data & AI initiatives. This role focuses on crafting and implementing the organization's comprehensive Data & AI strategy, bolstering data governance, and transforming data into actionable insights that enhance educational and business results.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the overall Data & AI agenda ensuring alignment with business and educational goals.
• Identify, prioritize, and implement AI and Generative AI applications across the institution.
• Foster a data-centric culture by enabling business and education units to effectively utilize data and AI.
• Drive data analytics efforts, including KPI development, dashboard creation, and reporting to improve decision-making.
• Maintain robust practices around data governance, quality assurance, privacy, and security.

Education Technology Expertise

Experience with School Information Systems or Management Information Systems, especially iSAMS or PowerSchool, is highly advantageous. Knowledge of leveraging education data for student achievement, admissions, attendance, operational management, engagement, and organizational reporting is essential.

Candidate Profile

• Has between 10 to 15+ years of professional experience in data, technology, analytics, or related domains.
• Possesses over 8 years in Data & AI with leadership roles and responsibilities.
• Demonstrates proven success in designing and deploying data and AI strategies within complex organizational settings.
• Experienced in delivering AI projects from conceptualization through execution resulting in quantifiable benefits.
• Deep understanding of data governance, analytics processes, data management, and emerging AI technologies.
• Background in education, EdTech, schools, or similarly complex multi-location organizations.
