About the Role
Join the Design Innovation & User Experience team to shape and enhance talent attraction and the overall employee journey at DSTA. You will be responsible for orchestrating holistic and impactful experiences that boost DSTA’s employer brand and promote employee engagement.
Key Responsibilities
As the Head of Employee Experience & Design, you will direct the organizational-level experience strategies across talent acquisition processes, employee engagement programs, digital platform development, and physical workplace infrastructure. Utilizing design thinking, service design, and product management methodologies, you will spearhead initiatives that improve employee involvement and reinforce DSTA’s employer branding throughout the talent lifecycle.
You will lead and nurture a multidisciplinary team of UX Architects and UX Designers, offering visionary leadership and mentorship while cultivating a culture centered on innovation and ongoing enhancement. Collaboration with internal teams and external partners will be essential to spot strategic growth areas and align experience-driven initiatives with organizational goals for maximum impact.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field; postgraduate qualifications are a plus.
- An extensive record of 8 to 10 years in experience design, service design, digital systems design, and product management, including leadership roles in organization-wide projects.
- Proven experience in leading and developing diverse design or product teams.
- Strong aptitude for transforming organizational challenges into experience-led and product-oriented solutions, covering strategy through implementation phases.
- Familiar with product development and management practices like user research, road mapping, prioritization, and outcome-focused delivery.
- Previous work designing employee-facing digital platforms and workplace systems is advantageous.
