About the Role
Canadian Base Operators in Meaford, Ontario is expanding its team and seeking a dedicated Handyperson to join a collaborative and industrious workforce. Reporting primarily to the Structure Supervisor, this role focuses on providing essential support and assistance in maintenance and repair tasks.
Compensation and Benefits
- Hourly wage ranging from $22.50 to $24.00

- Standard daytime schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM

Primary Responsibilities
- Properly operate, maintain, and prioritize safety in the use of hand and power tools relevant to assigned tasks
- Coordinate material orders for individual assignments
- Manage construction, issuance, and receipt of target inventory
- Repair and replace targets and significant building components including membrane and shingle roofing systems
- Install and maintain windows, doors, hardware, locks, and perform key cutting
- Handle diverse flooring types and bathroom partition installations with associated hardware
- Maintain wall coverings and painted surfaces
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent educational background
- Preferable certifications: Confined Space entry, Working at Heights, Journeyperson Carpenter designation
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and Teams
- Strong written and verbal communication capabilities
- Excellent interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration
- Capacity to work autonomously with minimal supervision
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain Government of Canada Security Clearance
