Job Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented Hand Presser to join our Pilot Mountain team. The role involves utilizing a manual steam iron to remove wrinkles, shape, and finish garments accurately with an understanding of different fabric types, ensuring the quality of the final product meets company standards.
Responsibilities
- Operate manual steam irons to press and finish garments effectively.
- Inspect garments for stains, damage, and defects, and verify finished products meet size and quality standards.
- Adjust equipment settings such as temperature, steam, and pressure to suit various fabric types including silk and wool.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of pressing equipment and workspace.
Requirements
- Strong attention to detail to identify product flaws and maintain quality.
- Capability to select appropriate pressing settings for different textiles.
- Excellent manual dexterity for handling delicate fabrics.
- Endurance to perform repetitive tasks and maintain physical position for extended periods.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment.
