Job description
Role Purpose
The Guest Services Agent is entrusted with providing passenger processing services that prioritize safety, efficiency, and customer service excellence from check-in through boarding. Key duties include verifying travel documentation, managing baggage acceptance, controlling boarding, and ensuring adherence to airline policies, airport security protocols, and safety standards, all to guarantee punctual departures and a superior customer experience.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Deliver a broad array of airport services such as guest and baggage handling, check-in and boarding procedures, and verification of tickets and boarding passes, to uphold high service quality aligned with safety and operational targets.
- Partner with handling agents to assist in operational execution, ensuring service delivery to passengers meets timely and quality benchmarks.
- Provide assistance and accurate connection information to passengers with connecting flights.
- Coordinate with cabin crew to ensure boarding is conducted both safely and punctually.
- Perform initial security screening processes to monitor access control at airport entry points.
- Handle daily inquiries related to diverse services by delivering prompt and effective support to both internal and external customers.
- Receive and assess complaints to resolve or address them efficiently.
- Offer customer support on a variety of routine services in line with company policies to fulfill passenger requirements.
- Escalate complex or specialized requests to relevant departments to guarantee proper assistance.
- Collaborate closely with supervisors to enhance the execution of assigned responsibilities.
- Monitor significant customer complaints and communicate prevalent issues to supervising staff.
- Engage with internal departments to maintain consistent and dependable customer service standards.
- Provide tailored customer support conforming to established regulations and risk management policies.
- Identify and communicate opportunities for service or operational improvements to aid ongoing enhancement initiatives.
- Take initiative to execute various assigned and emerging tasks to comply with standards and sustain high levels of customer satisfaction.
Qualifications & Experience
- Possession of a bachelor’s degree or diploma in Finance, Business Administration, or an equivalent qualification.
- At least two years’ experience working within an airport terminal environment or in above-the-wing operations with an airline or ground handling provider.
- Practical knowledge and usage experience of at least two Departure Control Systems (DCS) such as Amadeus, Sabre, Navitaire, Galileo, Maestro, or equivalent.
