Guest Room Preventative Maintenance Technician

Position Summary

This role involves performing scheduled preventative maintenance tasks within guest rooms, meeting rooms, and public spaces according to set procedures (including CARE, RPM, and GCPM processes). Duties include flipping and inspecting mattresses and box springs, assembling bed frames, vacuuming behind and underneath furniture, spot-cleaning carpets and upholstery, dusting, touch-up painting and furniture repairs, verifying that all hardware and appliances function properly, replacing light fixtures, and examining and repairing grout and caulking. Additional responsibilities include minor repairs such as tightening loose toilet seats, changing light bulbs, patching wall holes, and general cleaning of surfaces like tubs, tiles, floors, walls, windows, and mirrors.

Staff are expected to report serious maintenance issues, unusual observations, or safety hazards promptly to supervisors and to adhere strictly to company safety, security, and confidentiality policies. They must maintain a clean and professional appearance and uphold quality standards. Physical duties require reaching overhead and below the knees, bending, twisting, pulling, stooping, lifting and moving items up to 50 pounds independently and assisting with heavier objects. The role involves standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods and performing other reasonable duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent. Less than one year of related work experience is required. No supervisory experience, licenses, or certifications are necessary.
