Job description
About FlexiTime
FlexiTime develops workforce management solutions tailored for businesses with frontline employees, offering products such as PayHero (payroll), Karmly (contractor and labor hire management), and Droppah (rostering and scheduling). As a bootstrapped and profitable company, FlexiTime serves clients across New Zealand and Australia, emphasizing quality and attention to detail.
Role Overview
As the Growth Product Manager, you will be responsible for driving activation, conversion, and expansion of the self-service products PayHero and Droppah. Your goal is to enhance the customer journey—from trial initiation to purchase and continued growth—by improving product funnels and increasing successful conversions.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and own activation and conversion metrics for PayHero and Droppah, instrumenting the entire funnel to monitor performance.
- Identify major drop-off points in trial and onboarding processes, formulate hypotheses, implement iterative experiments, and measure their outcomes.
- Boost Droppah’s growth in the Australian market by optimizing the self-service funnel, especially where brand recognition is limited.
- Collaborate with the data analyst but independently use SQL and product analytics tools to perform investigations and derive insights.
- Apply sound judgment in low-volume scenarios by leveraging qualitative data such as session recordings and customer feedback to make decisions without relying solely on statistical significance.
- Communicate the funnel’s status and improvement initiatives clearly and transparently across the team.
Candidate Profile
- Prior experience in growth product management, growth engineering, or leading product-led growth initiatives within a self-serve B2B SaaS environment of similar scale.
- Proficiency with SQL and product analytics tools to independently analyze and answer product questions.
- A history of rapidly deploying incremental improvements and measuring their impact with integrity, including acknowledging unsuccessful experiments.
- Pragmatic decision-making when dealing with limited data availability.
- Technical aptitude to work closely with engineering teams, understanding cost-effective versus expensive product developments.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality, given the critical nature of payroll products.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in payroll, HR technology, or regulated, trust-sensitive product domains.
- Proven success in scaling a product's adoption in markets with low brand awareness, especially within Australia.
Work Environment
This position is based in our Wellington headquarters. The company values urgency without haste and prioritizes doing fewer things with high quality. You will enjoy direct communication with the founders and significant autonomy from the outset.
Application Instructions
Please submit a brief explanation of a funnel you have improved—detailing the initial problem, the actions you took, and the results achieved. While a CV is acceptable, the note on your funnel improvement will be prioritized in the review process.
