Job description
About Fasset
Fasset is focused on creating an ownership bank that enables users to access real assets such as gold, backed dollars, and global markets on regulated platforms across regions including the Gulf, South Asia, and Southeast Asia. The company has successfully raised over $100 million and serves more than 2 million users.
Role Overview
This role involves executing a clearly defined roadmap for the second half of the year with fixed deadlines. Key initiatives include relaunching referral and affiliate programs, launching a rewards marketplace and mission center, implementing save flows before account dormancy deadlines, initiating win-back ladders, supporting recurring transaction rails for upcoming products, and preparing for Q4 features like rounding up transactions into gold, seasonal gifting aligned with religious calendars, and piloting a remittance corridor. The strategy is based on a complex user state machine and a rigorous metrics framework allowing adjustments when data indicates.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the delivery of product releases by managing specifications, sequencing, engineering collaboration, quality assurance handoffs, and producing release notes. Deadlines are maintained but can shift with prior notice.
- Operate within a user state machine framework, identifying and managing state transitions linked to each initiative and appropriately updating the plan as transitions evolve.
- Collaborate closely with the Growth Analyst to predefine success metrics for each release, including targets, guardrails, kill thresholds, and review dates. Post-launch evaluations determine continuation or termination based on these criteria.
- Define payout rules for incentives such as referrals, affiliates, and gifting features to ensure they reward legitimate user activity and prevent gaming or abuse.
- Lead coordination of growth-related efforts across multiple teams including Cards, Earning, Lending, Network, and Market to maintain an integrated company-wide growth release schedule and avoid conflicts.
- Balance and prioritize foundational marketing platform developments—such as promotional engines, deep linking, segmentation, and onboarding campaigns—against feature deployments.
- Manage lifecycle engagement tactics like save flows, win-back ladders, and messaging journeys until a permanent owner is appointed, including specification and operational oversight.
- Enhance user segmentation and experiment with user journeys by implementing a robust process using Mixpanel to refine target audience definitions and optimize onboarding and retention funnels.
Candidate Profile
Ideal candidates will have:
- Experience delivering growth-related features in consumer fintech, cryptocurrency platforms, marketplaces, or other high-scale consumer applications, including referral schemes, incentive programs, onboarding sequences, and retention strategies.
- Proven ability to manage a roadmap where multiple releases depend on one another, with clear examples of dates successfully kept or adjusted.
- The analytical acumen to identify the most critical funnel transitions and interpret relevant performance data accurately.
- Experience partnering with an independent analytics team to define success benchmarks before launch and conduct unbiased post-launch analyses that influence product continuity.
- Skill in facilitating cross-team collaboration without formal authority and successfully shipping products through influence.
- A background or interest in emerging markets or Islamic finance, especially related to gifting, gold investments, remittance corridors, and Shariah-compliant offerings is viewed favorably.
Less suitable candidates:
- Those whose experience is predominantly strategy or discovery-focused without shipped growth mechanics.
- Individuals requiring a clean slate to create product plans from scratch, as this role follows an established roadmap.
- Those who perceive measurement solely as retrospective reporting rather than an integral part of product development.
- Candidates unable to anticipate or manage potential gaming or abuse of features they develop.
- Those who find cross-functional coordination challenging due to perceived organizational politics.
