Job description
Role Overview
As a Growth Enablement Partner for Customs, your primary focus will be to drive commercial expansion and scale the customs brokerage business independently across your designated region. Collaborating with customers and internal teams, you will pinpoint new prospects, tailor solutions to meet their needs, and play a significant role in the continuous advancement of our customs service offerings.
Key Responsibilities
- Expand standalone customs brokerage services within targeted markets and client segments.
- Discover and secure fresh business opportunities primarily with mid-sized customers.
- Develop and nurture relationships with customers while uncovering potential for account growth.
- Proactively engage and network to generate and qualify sales leads.
- Conduct client discussions to assess customs clearance, trade compliance, and cross-border logistics necessities.
- Support requests for information and quotations by collaborating with Operations and Compliance to prepare compelling commercial proposals.
- Lead negotiations on pricing, service contracts, and commercial terms ensuring profitable growth.
- Promote value-added customs services such as trade compliance advice, trade reporting, fiscal representation, duty optimization, and bonded warehouse solutions.
- Maintain a robust sales funnel, carefully monitoring revenue and margin metrics.
- Oversee smooth onboarding and implementation for new clients by coordinating across Operations, Compliance, Sales, and Transformation teams.
- Act as a trusted consultant, delivering insights and solutions that assist customers in managing their international trade requirements.
Candidate Profile
- Experience in logistics, freight forwarding, customs brokerage or international trade services.
- A solid history in B2B sales, business development, or account management roles.
- Proven skills in identifying business prospects and growing current client relationships, preferably with mid-market clientele.
- Thorough knowledge of customs brokerage services, import/export workflows and international trade processes.
- Familiarity with customs clearance protocols, trade compliance standards, and EU customs regulations.
- Ability to diagnose customer needs and convert them into effective, commercially viable solutions.
- Strong competence in negotiation, opportunity cultivation, and managing sales pipelines.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Capacity to work collaboratively across different teams and stakeholders.
- A commercially motivated, results-focused approach with proactive problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- An effective influencer capable of establishing credibility and fostering long-term partnerships.
