About the Role
This is a unique chance to join a global company's in-house tax division as a Group Senior Tax Manager. You will be central to overseeing the group’s tax compliance, reporting, and advisory responsibilities across Europe and APAC. This position involves handling diverse international tax issues, tax accounting, and compliance across several jurisdictions in a fast-paced, global environment.

Responsibilities
- Manage and review tax compliance and filings within European and APAC regions.
- Deliver technical guidance on matters including international taxation, VAT, withholding tax, and cross-border transactions.
- Assist with tax provisioning and addressing current, deferred, and uncertain tax positions under various GAAPs.
- Support tax reporting and regulatory capital assessments related to Solvency II.
- Contribute to compliance activities related to Pillar Two regulations and reporting.
- Track changes in tax legislation and evaluate their impact on the group’s operations.
- Collaborate closely with Finance, Legal, Investment teams, and other key stakeholders.
- Manage relationships with external tax consultants, including Big 4 advisory firms.
- Support tax audits, SOX compliance, transfer pricing assessments, and internal control processes.
- Conduct technical research to aid tax planning, mergers and acquisitions, investments, restructurings, and other strategic initiatives.
- Identify and implement process enhancements to streamline tax operations and produce clear, audit-ready reports for senior leadership.
Candidate Profile
- Possess 8 to 10 years post-qualification experience, with a minimum of 5 years specializing in international tax, preferably in industry or financial services.
- Hold recognized tax and accounting qualifications such as AITI/CTA and ACA/ACCA.
- Demonstrate strong expertise in international tax and tax accounting; familiarity with US GAAP and Irish GAAP is advantageous.
- Exhibit excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational capabilities with strong attention to detail.
- Comfortable managing intricate, cross-border tax issues efficiently.
- Communicate effectively with both tax and non-tax colleagues across the business.
- Be proactive, collaborative, commercially astute, and capable of working independently under tight deadlines.
