About the Role
We are searching for a commercially savvy finance executive to join the Leadership Team of a sizable, complex organisation undergoing critical transformation. This position transcends typical FP&A responsibilities by focusing on identifying opportunities for value creation, challenging conventional approaches, and driving impactful change across financial systems, processes, people, and workflows.
Reporting to the General Manager, Finance & Technology, this role leads financial planning and analysis, provides strategic and commercial insights, promotes accountability, and collaborates with senior leaders to achieve sustainable business results.
Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee organisation-wide financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting.
- Collaborate with executives and senior leaders to enhance business performance and accountability.
- Generate commercial insights to guide strategic and operational decisions.
- Lead investment evaluations, create business cases, and conduct financial modelling for major projects.
- Identify areas for improving organisational efficiency, performance, and value creation.
- Champion transformation initiatives in finance systems, reporting structures, planning processes, and team capabilities.
- Develop a high-functioning, commercially oriented FP&A and business partnering team.
- Provide thoughtful challenge to leaders and stakeholders to ensure disciplined financial decisions.
- Lead change initiatives to improve finance’s support and partnership with the wider business.
Candidate Profile
- Significant experience leading financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and business partnering in large, complex organisations.
- Proven track record in finance transformation, operating model enhancements, system rollouts, or substantial process improvements.
- Capable of pinpointing inefficiencies, questioning status quo, and implementing practical solutions with measurable results.
- Strong commercial insight combined with expertise supporting complex investment and strategic decisions.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and the confidence to influence and constructively challenge at executive levels.
- Experience building and guiding high-performing teams through periods of change and growth.
- Professional accreditation such as CA, CPA, or equivalent alongside tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Economics, or related fields.
Additional Information
