Overview
We are searching for a Group Financial Accountant to contribute significantly to group reporting, monthly financial consolidations, preparation of financial statements, and facilitation of the annual audit process. This position is ideal for finance professionals who are newly qualified or recently certified and are eager to advance their career within a dynamic and expanding organization. The role involves collaborating closely with group finance and various departments such as legal, company secretarial, tax, treasury, commercial finance, and operations across the group.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing the Group's annual financial statements adhering to IFRS standards and support the annual audit process.
- Deliver monthly and quarterly group reporting and provide updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Prepare financial statements for subsidiaries in accordance with FRS 101 and FRS 102.
- Examine monthly subsidiary accounts and collaborate with operation and finance teams to compile monthly management reporting packs.
- Manage the monthly and annual intercompany reconciliation procedures.
- Investigate and interpret technical accounting standards and guidance, including updates on IFRS and accounting treatments for growth-related activities.
- Collaborate with Group Finance to enhance current and upcoming finance systems and technologies.
- Contribute to finance transformation initiatives aimed at improving processes and efficiency.
- Support the implementation and oversight of internal controls across the group.
- Coordinate and perform period close activities, including reviewing and approving balance sheet reconciliations.
- Engage with cross-functional teams such as legal, company secretarial, taxation, treasury, and commercial finance.
Qualifications and Skills
- Newly or recently qualified with ACA, ACCA, or CIMA credentials.
- Preferably have experience working or training in a Big 4 accounting firm.
- Demonstrated experience in financial reporting, preferably in an industry setting.
- Knowledge of IFRS, FRS 101, and FRS 102 accounting standards.
- Experience in consolidations and group accounting practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and confidence with the Microsoft Office suite.
- Familiarity with Workday financial systems is advantageous.
- Exceptional attention to detail with strong task completion skills.
- A self-motivated, well-organized individual.
- Effective communication skills, capable of interacting with both finance and non-finance personnel.
- A collaborative team player who takes initiative and ownership of important reporting tasks.

Additional Information
Location: Initially based in Fassaroe, Bray, Co Wicklow, with plans to relocate to Ballycoolin, Dublin in 2027.
