Role Overview

We seek a seasoned Group Account Director to lead and strategically grow one of our key global clients. Reporting to the Client Services Director, the role involves managing client relationships, driving business development, overseeing project delivery, and ensuring financial and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead new business initiatives, managing pitch teams and processes alongside senior management.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive client business development plans, targeting specific growth opportunities.
• Guide clients through agreed workflows and manage deliverables, timeframes, and expectations effectively.
• Identify workflow improvements benefiting both WPP Production and clients.
• Build trusted relationships with stakeholders, senior budget holders, and agencies, managing client perceptions and expectations.
• Coordinate regular strategic reviews with clients to assess objectives, resolve issues, and monitor workload.
• Create customized reports, presentations, and documents tailored to clients’ preferences and expertise levels.
• Determine and facilitate client training to ensure process adherence and workflow enhancements.
• Distribute agendas and detailed contact reports after all client meetings and calls.
• Acquire thorough knowledge of WPP Production’s business model, services, and technologies.
• Provide detailed monthly account updates to the Managing Director.
• Collaborate with Account Directors and Managers to optimize productivity and maintain team morale.
• Implement effective recruitment and retention practices in partnership with Talent Acquisition.
• Support coordination among WPP Production hubs, clients, and agencies, ensuring contract compliance, KPIs, and SLA fulfillment.
• Monitor internal workflows, recommend improvements, and enforce brand guidelines and quality control procedures.
• Meet revenue targets in collaboration with the Finance Director and keep leadership informed of factors impacting forecasts.
• Audit profitability against resources and ensure full compliance with financial policies.

Candidate Profile

• Demonstrated experience managing global production clients across multiple markets and stakeholders.
• Track record of identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
• Experience supporting production across Print, TV, and Digital campaign environments.
• Excellent client servicing and relationship management skills.
• Collaborative team player attitude with strong numerical aptitude.
• Ability to maintain a proactive, positive mindset and work effectively under pressure.
