Grocery Team Member - Full Time

Role Overview

Join the Grocery team to support activities such as receiving and preparing merchandise, maintaining grocery floor appearance and displays, and facilitating sales aligned with company standards. This role involves managing product deliveries, stocking shelves, and ensuring an inviting shopping environment through excellent customer service and operational compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain clean, attractive displays by organizing cases and shelves, front-facing products, verifying expiration dates, and rotating stock to remove outdated items.
• Stock grocery shelves, bulk bins, frozen and dairy cases effectively and maintain back stock orderly.
• Monitor product quality to prevent spoilage; communicate wastage details to relevant supervisors and buyers.
• Assist with sampling programs, ensuring sample areas remain stocked, clean, and appealing to customers.
• Complete necessary documentation including spoilage, sampling, temperature checks, and area sweep worksheets.
• Participate in inventory counts as needed.
• Ensure punctuality and readiness for scheduled shifts, attending required meetings and trainings.
• Deliver outstanding customer service, promptly responding to inquiries and employing suggestive selling techniques.
• Maximize sales through proper product preparation, rotation, stocking, and merchandising.
• Adhere to established procedures and regulations regarding weights and measures, hygiene, and workplace safety.
• Contribute to a clean, sanitary environment and maintain equipment following company cleanliness and safety standards.
• Perform opening, mid-shift, and closing duties including verifying pricing and signage accuracy.
• Report safety hazards and policy violations immediately.
• Fulfill other tasks assigned by store, regional, or national management teams.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Familiarity with product labels and ingredient information.

Experience

No previous retail experience is necessary to succeed in this role.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to stand or walk for 6 to 8 hours during an 8-hour shift.
• Requires hand motions such as grasping, manipulation, pushing, and pulling as well as bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching.
• Exposure to approved cleaning chemicals and temperature extremes including freezing and warm environments.
• Capability to work in wet and cold conditions.
• Flexibility to work varied schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Proficient in safely using tools and equipment like box cutters and electric pallet jacks.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers an hourly wage ranging from $18.50 to $25.00, based on experience.
