About the Role

Join Walmart Canada as a Grocery Associate and gain valuable experience in a vibrant retail setting. Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a tidy, organized, and correctly zoned grocery department to ensure readiness for customers at all times.
• Regularly rotate stock, removing expired or damaged items to uphold product freshness and quality.
• Ensure products are accurately priced and labeled, adhering to company procedures for ordering, markdowns, clearances, and signage.
• Follow strict food safety, sanitation, handling, and cleaning protocols to keep a hygienic workspace.
• Keep the department fully stocked by replenishing merchandise, completing downstocking tasks, applying product protection, and arranging shelving and modular displays.
• Comply with all health and safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe and clean workplace.
• Be flexible with work hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet business demands and support store operations seamlessly.

Challenges in the Role

• Effectively manage overnight shifts and plan accordingly to stay alert and energized.
• Handle a demanding pace with numerous restocking and recovery tasks, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
• Meet physical demands such as standing for long periods, bending, lifting inventory up to 20 lbs regularly and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Perform repetitive tasks like stocking and organizing products with consistency and attention to detail.

Compensation

The starting wage for this position is $16.90 per hour.
