Role Overview
As a Grocery Associate at Walmart Canada, you will develop valuable skills within a high-energy retail environment by delivering outstanding customer service. This involves maintaining a clean, organized, and customer-friendly grocery department, supporting stock handling, and assisting sales efforts to guarantee a welcoming shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness, order, and proper zoning of the grocery section to ensure it remains customer-ready.
- Regularly rotate stock and remove expired or damaged goods to ensure product freshness and quality standards.
- Verify pricing and signage accuracy, adhere to procedures related to ordering, markdowns, pricing, labeling, and clearance.
- Follow established food safety, sanitation, and cleaning protocols to guarantee a safe and hygienic department.
- Stock shelves and complete merchandising tasks, including downstocking and modular setups, ensuring product protection as necessary.
- Observe all health and safety regulations and company policies to maintain a hazard-free work environment.
- Demonstrate flexibility by accepting various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet business needs.
Challenges to Anticipate
- Manage a high volume of tasks during fast-paced, overnight shifts, maintaining focus and energy.
- Handle repetitive physical activities such as standing for long periods, bending, and lifting items ranging from 20 to occasionally 50 pounds.
- Complete stocking, zoning, and organizing duties with consistent attention to detail to uphold company standards.

Compensation
The starting wage for this position is $19.75 per hour.
