Grafana Developer

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Grafana Developer to support our aviation sector client based in Changi. This full-time, onsite opportunity involves creating and maintaining interactive Grafana dashboards that meet operational needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build new Grafana dashboards, including panels, variables, queries, and alerts tailored to operational objectives.
• Enhance and maintain current dashboards, ensuring consistent design, colors, usability, and accessibility improvements.
• Connect dashboards to authorized data sources, confirming data accuracy, timeliness, and system performance.
• Set up near real-time alerts using approved messaging and notification systems.
• Identify and resolve issues related to dashboards, queries, plugins, data sources, and performance bottlenecks.
• Manage user permissions and assist in reviewing access rights for both development and production environments.
• Carry out controlled upgrades of Grafana components and plugins, with proper testing and rollback support.
• Document dashboard logic, data flow, configuration details, and operational procedures thoroughly.
• Work collaboratively with data engineers, developers, and end-users to convert requirements into effective visualizations.

Candidate Requirements

• Hands-on expertise in Grafana dashboard development and administrative tasks.
• Skilled in querying diverse data sources including time series, relational, and search databases.
• Knowledgeable about dashboard user experience design, alert systems, observability concepts, and performance optimization.
• Familiar with cloud platforms, APIs, and monitoring/logging infrastructures.
• Experience with version control systems and continuous integration/deployment workflows.
• Holder of a degree or diploma in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Relevant certifications in Grafana, cloud technologies, or observability are a plus.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in dashboarding or observability roles is expected.
