Graduate Mechanical Engineer

Position Overview

Wood is inviting engineering graduates to join our team in Doha, Qatar, as Graduate Mechanical Engineers. This role involves working on Feasibility Studies, FEEDs, and EPC projects, offering the chance to contribute meaningfully within a skilled and experienced engineering group. This is a long-term career opportunity based in Qatar.

Responsibilities

• Execute engineering and design tasks under supervision, utilizing Wood and client design standards and methodologies to meet project specifications.
• Maintain compliance with Wood's Behaviours, Code of Business Conduct, and applicable regulatory and client requirements.
• Adhere strictly to Health, Safety, Security, Environmental, and Quality Management protocols.
• Contribute actively to continuous improvement and internal development initiatives.
• Stay updated with advancements and technical developments in the engineering field.
• Participate in prescribed training to obtain relevant professional certifications (e.g., P.E.) and further technical skills as approved by management.
• Gain exposure to interdisciplinary functions, including onsite construction activities.

Candidate Qualifications

• Possess a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Have approximately 2 years of pertinent experience or an equivalent combination of education and work.
• Mandatory experience with HVAC systems.
• Preferred to have engineering registration with Qatar Ministry of Municipality and Environment.
• Proficient with CAD software such as AutoCAD.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Demonstrate motivation, organization, resourcefulness, and proactivity.
• Exhibit flexibility, positivity, and a determined attitude to succeed.
• Capable of effective teamwork.
