About the Role
Grand Slam Fitness Pvt. Ltd., a leader in the health and fitness industry for over 34 years, invites applications for the role of Government Sales Associate based in Sector 58, Noida. This full-time position entails managing and expanding sales of premium fitness and sports equipment across various esteemed government and institutional organizations throughout India.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee government and institutional sales operations pan-India for high-end fitness equipment.
- Initiate and cultivate business prospects with notable institutions including AIIMS, IITs, IIMs, the Sports Authority of India (SAI), government universities, defense organizations, PSUs, and other governmental entities.
- Establish and maintain strong professional relationships with key stakeholders such as purchase departments, sports officers, physical education faculties, administrators, and consultants.
- Conduct frequent visits to government bodies to identify upcoming projects and requirements.
- Generate qualified leads via institutional engagements, networking, and market insights.
- Monitor government tender opportunities, GeM bids, and procurement contracts and coordinate related tender processes.
- Provide compelling product presentations and demonstrations to decision-makers within institutions.
- Assess client needs to suggest appropriate products and solutions.
- Negotiate effectively to close sales while ensuring company profitability.
- Manage the entire sales cycle from quotation follow-ups to payment collection.
- Work closely with internal teams such as Sales, Tender, Service, Logistics, Finance, and Management to ensure seamless order delivery.
- Oversee installation, commissioning, demonstrations, and post-sale support as necessary.
- Maintain meticulous records of sales activities, including leads, quotations, meetings, and orders.
- Prepare regular sales pipeline reports and account summaries for management review.
- Track competitor activity and market trends to maintain competitive advantage.
- Foster enduring relationships with key government and institutional accounts.

Required Skills and Qualifications
- Demonstrable strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Excellent networking and relationship management skills.
- Effective negotiation and persuasion capacity.
- Capability to liaise confidently with senior government officials and institutional executives.
- Proficient in delivering presentations and product demonstrations.
- Working knowledge of government sales channels and procurement protocols.
- Familiarity with GeM portal usage, e-tendering, and government tender compliances is advantageous.
- Ability to interpret tender documents, specifications, and bill of quantities (BOQs).
- Persistent in follow-up and closing sales transactions successfully.
- Strong lead generation and market analysis skills.
- Competent with MS Office and Excel for sales tracking and reporting.
