Overview
Join Cognitio Digital as a Google Cloud Architect supporting critical sovereign cloud initiatives for Australian government and Defence sectors. This role is crucial in designing, managing, and securing enterprise-scale cloud solutions, collaborating with cross-functional technical teams and stakeholders to deliver transformative cloud environments aligned with national security requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and govern secure Google Cloud environments tailored to Defence and Federal Government needs.
- Work closely with cloud engineers, security experts, and architects to design and implement cloud platforms.
- Drive cloud platform strategy and operational excellence to meet complex security and compliance challenges.
- Engage proactively with stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective communication.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Possession of an active NV1 or higher Australian Government security clearance is mandatory.
- Certified Google Professional Cloud Architect with proven experience in enterprise-scale Google Cloud deployment and operations.
- Solid expertise in cloud governance frameworks, architecture principles, and operating models specific to Google Cloud.
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud IAM, Organization Policies, Shared VPCs, Landing Zones, Cloud KMS, Logging, and Monitoring services.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to foster strong stakeholder relationships.
Preferred Attributes
- Additional certifications such as Google or Microsoft Azure Professional Cloud Security Engineer or Associate Cloud Engineer.
- Background working within Defence or Federal Government environments.
- Experience managing or operating secure or sovereign cloud infrastructures.
- Familiarity with information security standards like ISM, PSPF, Essential Eight, and Zero Trust security models.
- Experience in cloud-managed services or operational roles.
