Role Overview
We are looking for a meticulous Global Payroll Associate based in Brisbane to manage payroll processes for a client portfolio. You will ensure precise and punctual payroll execution, uphold tax and statistical compliance, facilitate payments, and provide advisory support for both multinational and domestic organizations. Reporting to experienced payroll leaders, you will contribute to compliance support and operational excellence through continuous process enhancements.
Responsibilities
- Accurately calculate monthly payroll for all employee types including office-based, rotational, and shift workers, accounting for leaves and terminations.
- Generate and distribute payslips in a timely manner.
- Maintain compliance with tax and statistical regulations by preparing reports and registers.
- Initiate and process payment instructions securely using SWIFT and online banking platforms.
- Track legislative changes related to tax and labor laws, produce news updates, and conduct educational webinars on payroll topics.
- Handle client billing ensuring adherence to local tax rules and reporting requirements.
- Analyze compensation data to determine tax implications under different scenarios.
- Act as the main liaison with tax authorities to address inquiries and ensure compliance.
- Collaborate with payroll teams to automate workflows and enhance existing processes.
- Support additional payroll-related tasks as needed.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in fields such as Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is preferred, though motivated school-leavers with potential are encouraged to apply.
- Previous internship or work experience in payroll, finance, or related areas is advantageous.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong detail orientation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with both internal teams and external clients.
- A proactive, enthusiastic attitude with a willingness to learn and take responsibility.
