Global Compliance & Reporting Manager

About the Role

EY invites applications for the role of Manager in the MENA Tax - Global Compliance & Reporting (GCR) team based in Abu Dhabi. This role involves leading intricate client engagements and contributing significantly to the expansion of the GCR practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead client engagements by managing compliance and reporting requirements efficiently.
• Maintain and foster robust relationships internally and with clients to ensure high-quality service delivery.
• Oversee daily client engagement activities, monitor project progress, implement standardized workflows, identify risks, escalate issues appropriately, and drive improvements.
• Supervise and mentor junior team members to nurture a positive and learning-oriented culture.
• Ensure strict compliance with Tax Quality guidelines.

Skills and Attributes

Success in this position requires excellent communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, proven management capabilities, and the ability to work effectively across borders and handle large datasets.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree with strong academic performance in accounting, business, finance, taxation, or related fields.
• Advanced degrees such as MBA or Master’s, and/or professional certifications like CA, CPA, ACCA, CTA, ADIT, or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of substantial experience and comprehensive knowledge in domestic and international tax regulations within a large professional services or similar environment.
• Extensive expertise in tax accounting and auditing, preferably in large professional settings.
• Proven leadership, organizational, and project management skills.

• Experience working with multinational clients and thriving in a multicultural environment.
• Deep commercial, legislative, and industry insights.
