Job description
Role Overview
Geotrace Australia is seeking an experienced Geotechnical/Environmental Driller to join their expanding team based in Sydney. The position involves performing diverse drilling activities throughout Sydney and regional areas of New South Wales.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct solid and hollow-flight auger drilling operations
- Perform wash boring and Standard Penetration Tests (SPT)
- Carry out NMLC rock coring and various environmental and geotechnical site investigations
- Operate drilling rigs such as Hanjin, Comacchio, or comparable equipment
Candidate Requirements
- Demonstrable experience in drilling
- Ability to confidently lead a drilling crew
- Strong maintenance ethic for machinery and equipment
- Dedication to safety standards and delivering quality results
- Dependable, practical, and adept at resolving on-site problems
- Possession of a valid driver's licence and White Card
- Additional qualifications such as HR licence, water-well drilling licence, and other industry tickets are advantageous but not mandatory
