  • Contribute actively to the evolution of the EarthLab whole-Earth system modelling platform.
  • Collaborate closely with EarthLab research staff and BHP Exploration teams to support modelling projects.
  • Integrate models related to geodynamics, climate change, and landscape evolution.
  • Improve and uphold community-focused research software tools utilized within the geoscience field.
  • Participate in generating scientific research outputs and foster innovation in quantitative Earth system sciences.
  • Provide guidance and assistance to higher degree research students, researchers, and postdoctoral fellows in modelling workflows and software development.

  • Demonstrated skill in developing and maintaining geoscience modelling software.
  • Expertise in at least one numerical geoscience domain such as plate tectonic reconstructions, thermomechanical modelling, palaeoclimate modelling, or landscape evolution modelling.
  • Proficient programming skills in Python, C/C++, or similar languages.
  • Established track record of publishing research and contributing to geoscience modelling code development.
  • Experience handling complex computational modelling frameworks and large geoscientific datasets.
  • Ability to support collaborative, multidisciplinary research teams effectively.
