Role Overview

We are seeking a General Technician to join the Saadiyat Beach Club team. This position involves hands-on responsibility for the upkeep and repair of various equipment and infrastructure, ensuring the facility operates smoothly and safely. The role supports the Engineering department with preventive and corrective maintenance to uphold high standards in all guest and operational areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute routine repairs and maintenance on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, lighting, painting, carpentry, and mechanical systems.
  • Quickly respond to maintenance requests and operational faults.
  • Regularly inspect guest areas, including pools, restaurants, changing rooms, beach facilities, and back-of-house zones.
  • Ensure the safe and effective functioning of engineering equipment and facilities.
  • Support preventive maintenance initiatives to reduce equipment downtime.
  • Report significant repair needs and technical issues to supervisors.
  • Keep engineering tools and workspaces clean and well-organized.
  • Assist in setup and maintenance for beachside events and special activities when required.
  • Adhere strictly to health, safety, and environmental protocols.
  • Use tools, materials, and spare parts carefully to avoid waste.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team during emergencies or operational demands.
  • Maintain accurate records of completed maintenance tasks and communicate updates.

Candidate Profile

  • Holds a technical certificate or vocational qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, or a related discipline.
  • Has at least 1 to 2 years of maintenance experience within hospitality settings, particularly beach clubs, resorts, or facility management.
  • Possesses fundamental knowledge in electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems, and general maintenance tasks.
  • Demonstrates capability to efficiently diagnose and resolve maintenance issues.
  • Works well within team environments and communicates effectively.
  • Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors, especially in beach environments.
  • Available to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays, as operational needs dictate.
