Position Overview
This opportunity is with a restaurant independently owned and run by a franchisee licensed to use McDonald’s branding and food products. While the franchise operates under the McDonald’s name, this role is employed directly by the franchisee, not McDonald’s USA. The franchisee independently manages all employment aspects including hiring, firing, scheduling, and supervision.
Role Summary
As a General Manager, you will oversee the profitability and daily operations of a high-volume quick service restaurant, ensuring strict adherence to McDonald’s established standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. Partnering with your leader, you will set strategic goals for the restaurant and develop practical action plans to achieve them.
Leadership Responsibilities
You will lead a team of Department Managers who have distinct roles within the restaurant. Your responsibility includes assisting them in setting departmental objectives, monitoring their progress, and providing coaching and guidance to enhance each department’s performance. Additionally, you will be involved in recruiting and mentoring Department and Shift Managers to secure strong leadership for the restaurant’s future.
Candidate Profile
Ideal applicants will have prior General Manager experience in managing fast-paced, high-volume quick service locations. Experience in quick service restaurants is highly preferred; however, backgrounds in hospitality or retail are also relevant. Candidates must be at least 18 years old to qualify for this managerial position in corporate-owned restaurants.
