This opening is with a restaurant operated by an independent franchisee licensed to use McDonald's branding and products, not directly by McDonald's USA. Employment decisions, staff management, hiring, and disciplinary actions are solely handled by the franchisee who owns the restaurant.

Primary Responsibilities

The General Manager is accountable for managing a profitable restaurant while upholding McDonald's stringent standards of quality, service, and cleanliness. This leadership role involves collaborating with senior leadership to establish restaurant objectives and devising strategies to reach these goals.

Leading and supporting a team of Department Managers is a key function, including helping them set targets, monitoring their progress, and providing coaching to improve departmental performance. The General Manager may also be involved in recruiting and training Department and Shift Managers to ensure a strong management team is in place.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age and a legal U.S. citizen.
• Possession of a California Manager Food Handler Card, which is verified through an accredited body (training offered during orientation).
• Previous experience as a General Manager in high-volume quick-service restaurant settings preferred; hospitality or retail experience is also beneficial.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• A minimum of one year experience in leadership, motivating or developing teams, or equivalent U.S. military service.
• Strong customer service orientation with the ability to communicate effectively and anticipate needs.
• A commitment to workplace excellence and safety alongside effective decision making in fast-paced environments.
• Passion for serving customers and supporting team members.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range begins at $83,200 up to $98,200 annually.
