General Manager

Position Overview

This role is for a restaurant managed by an independent franchisee using McDonald's branding and products, but separate from McDonald's USA. The franchisee independently handles all employment-related decisions, including hiring, supervision, and scheduling. McDonald's USA does not participate in employment matters for this location.

Compensation

Annual salary ranges from $55,000 to $68,000.

Primary Responsibilities

The General Manager is accountable for operating a profitable restaurant that consistently meets McDonald's high standards for quality, service, and cleanliness. Collaboration with leadership to establish and pursue restaurant goals is essential.

This leader manages a team of Department Managers by guiding them to define objectives, monitor progress, and provide coaching to improve departmental performance, thereby enhancing overall restaurant success.

Additional duties include recruiting and developing Department and Shift Managers to ensure the right leadership team is in place for future growth.

Candidate Profile

Ideal applicants bring prior general management experience in busy locations, preferably within quick service restaurants, though hospitality or retail backgrounds are also appreciated. Candidates must be at least 18 years old to manage corporate-owned locations.
