About the Role and Employer
This position is for a restaurant managed by an independently owned franchisee using McDonald's branding and products. The franchisee operates separately from McDonald's USA and is solely responsible for all employment related matters including hiring, firing, supervision, staffing, and scheduling. McDonald's USA has no involvement in employment decisions or application processing.
Job Overview
The General Manager leads the restaurant's operations with a focus on profitability and adherence to McDonald's high standards for Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. Success requires setting targets in collaboration with leadership and crafting strategies to meet those goals. The General Manager guides a team of Department Managers, supporting their goal-setting and monitoring progress while providing coaching to elevate department performance and overall restaurant success.
Key Duties
- Oversee daily restaurant operations to ensure profitability and compliance with customer experience standards.
- Collaborate with leadership to establish achievable restaurant goals and devise plans to meet them.
- Lead Department Managers by helping them create goals and providing ongoing feedback and coaching.
- Recruit, hire, and develop Department and Shift Managers to build a capable leadership team.
Candidate Profile
Ideal applicants will have prior experience as a General Manager, managing high-volume quick service restaurants or similar sectors like hospitality or retail. Applicants must be at least 18 years old to hold a managerial role in corporate-owned locations.
