Overview
This position is at a restaurant independently owned and operated by a franchisee, not by McDonald’s USA directly. The franchisee holds the license to use McDonald’s trademarks and products. Employment and all related decisions including hiring, supervision, discipline, and staffing are managed solely by the franchisee. McDonald’s USA has no involvement in employment decisions nor access to application materials.
Role Responsibilities
The General Manager leads the restaurant’s operations to ensure profitability while maintaining McDonald’s core standards of quality, service, and cleanliness. Working closely with leadership, the General Manager sets strategic objectives and develops plans to achieve them.
Leadership of Department Managers is important, involving goal-setting support, monitoring progress, and coaching to drive departmental improvements which contribute to overall restaurant success. The role also involves recruiting and nurturing Department and Shift Managers to build a strong leadership team for the future.
Candidate Requirements
- Prior experience as a General Manager, ideally in high-volume restaurant settings.
- Background in quick service restaurants is preferred; experience in hospitality or retail is also applicable.
- Candidates must be at least 18 years old to qualify.
