About the Role
This position is with an independently owned and operated McDonald’s franchise, not directly employed by McDonald’s USA. The franchisee holds the license to use McDonald’s brand and products but independently manages all employment matters such as hiring, firing, and scheduling.
Working as a General Manager here means taking on a critical leadership role to ensure the restaurant operates profitably while delivering McDonald’s renowned standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. The position involves setting and accomplishing restaurant goals in collaboration with your leadership and managing a team of Department Managers to improve performance across all areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct the profitable operation of the restaurant ensuring high standards in quality, service, and hygiene.
- Partner with leadership to establish restaurant objectives and develop actionable plans for achievement.
- Lead and support Department Managers, helping them set targets, monitoring their progress, and coaching them to elevate department outcomes.
- Recruit, hire, and mentor Department and Shift Managers to build a strong leadership team for ongoing success.
Candidate Profile and Requirements
- Prior experience serving as a General Manager in a high-volume setting is strongly preferred.
- Background in quick service restaurants is highly desirable; experience in hospitality or retail is also considered valuable.
- Must meet the minimum age requirement of 18 years for managerial roles in McDonald’s restaurants.
