General Manager – Engineering & Construction (Arabic Speaker)

About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned General Manager to steer business activities within the engineering and construction sector, emphasizing sustainable growth. This executive will be accountable for revenue generation, profitability, operational efficiency, and strategic goals.

Key Duties

• Lead and oversee comprehensive business functions to meet revenue and profit targets.
• Formulate and implement effective business strategies to ensure long-term expansion.
• Provide counsel to senior leadership on commercial, operational, and strategic issues.
• Supervise project management, resource allocation, cost control, and project oversight activities.
• Manage significant commercial deals and contractual negotiations.
• Discover new market opportunities and assist in business growth efforts.
• Develop and nurture relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and partners.
• Track business metrics and initiate corrective measures as necessary.
• Promote organizational development along with employee and leadership performance enhancement.
• Enhance operational systems, policies, and controls.
• Address business risks and contribute to strategic decision-making processes.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental (HSE), quality, and customer satisfaction standards.
• Represent the company during interactions with key clients and stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience

• Mandatory bachelor's degree in engineering.
• Preferred MBA or relevant master's degree.
• At least 15 years of experience in engineering, construction, contracting, or related fields.
• Minimum of 6 years in senior leadership roles such as General Manager, Business Manager, or Operations Manager.
• Documented experience overseeing P&L, revenue, profits, and operations.
• Expertise in commercial and contractual domains.
• Strong background in project management and project controls.
• Demonstrated track record in business development and expanding market presence.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
• Superior client and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Deep understanding of HSE and quality compliance in engineering/construction sectors.

Those who have led an entire business unit or enterprise, managing P&L, operational teams, significant client accounts, business development, and strategic growth initiatives will be given priority consideration.
