General Manager

About the Role

This opportunity is with an independently owned McDonald's franchise in Brick, NJ, separate from McDonald's USA corporate operations. The successful applicant will be employed by the franchisee, who exclusively manages all aspects of employment, including hiring, discipline, and scheduling. McDonald's USA is not involved in these employment decisions.

This General Manager position involves overseeing a thriving restaurant to ensure profitability while upholding McDonald's rigorous standards for quality, service, and cleanliness. This role requires leadership to set goals, guide department managers, and drive overall restaurant success through coaching and strategic direction.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all restaurant operations including food production, guest service, and employee performance.
• Collaborate with department managers to establish targets, monitor their progress, and provide guidance.
• Hire, develop, and mentor department and shift managers to build a strong leadership team.
• Handle staffing processes such as recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management.
• Make critical business decisions involving inventory management, budgeting, and controlling food costs.
• Ensure compliance with food safety protocols and maintain high standards for employee and guest safety.
• Oversee maintenance and operational standards to consistently exceed expectations.

Candidate Profile

• Proven experience as a General Manager in high-volume quick service restaurants; hospitality or retail experience also valued.
• Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and excellence.
• Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to make timely decisions and provide solutions under pressure.
• Expert knowledge of food safety standards.
• Must be at least 18 years old to qualify for management roles in corporate-operated restaurants.

Compensation and Benefits
