Role Overview
The General Manager is primarily accountable for operating a profitable restaurant while ensuring that McDonald’s stringent standards for quality, service, and cleanliness are consistently met. This leadership role requires collaborating with higher management to define the restaurant’s objectives and devising strategies to fulfill those goals.
Leadership extends to managing and supporting Department Managers by setting expectations, monitoring their progress, and mentoring them to enhance their respective areas. By strengthening each department, overall restaurant performance improves. The General Manager may also handle the recruitment and development of managerial staff, ensuring the team is prepared for future challenges.
Requirements
- Prior experience as a General Manager, ideally within high-volume quick service restaurants.
- Background in hospitality or retail sectors is also considered beneficial.
- Must be at least 18 years old to qualify for the manager position at corporate-owned and operated outlets.
