General Manager

Overview

This position is for a General Manager role at a restaurant operated by an independent franchisee under the McDonald's brand. The franchisee is the actual employer responsible for all employment-related decisions, including hiring, discipline, and scheduling, separate from McDonald's USA corporate.

Role and Responsibilities

The General Manager directs the profitable operation of the restaurant while ensuring adherence to McDonald's high standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. Collaborating with leadership, the General Manager establishes restaurant objectives and formulates strategies to achieve them.

Leading a team of Department Managers, the General Manager supports goal setting, monitors department progress, and provides guidance to drive restaurant improvement. In addition, the role may include recruiting and nurturing Department and Shift Managers to build a capable leadership team.

Candidate Profile

Ideal applicants will possess prior experience managing high-volume locations, preferably within quick service restaurants, hospitality, or retail sectors. Candidates must be at least 18 years old.
