Position Overview
This role is with a restaurant managed by an independent franchisee rather than McDonald’s USA. The franchisee holds a license to use McDonald’s branding and food products, but acts as a distinct business entity responsible for all employment matters, including hiring, firing, and staff management.
About the Role
As General Manager, you will be accountable for operating a profitable restaurant that consistently achieves McDonald’s high standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. These standards are rigorous, reflecting the importance of delivering excellent customer experiences.
Leadership Responsibilities
The General Manager sets restaurant objectives in collaboration with leadership and devises strategic plans to meet these goals. Managing a team of Department Managers is a key aspect; you will support them in goal-setting, monitor their progress, and provide coaching to enhance their departments, thereby driving overall restaurant performance.
Recruitment and Development
You may also be tasked with recruiting and nurturing Department and Shift Managers to ensure a strong leadership structure for future growth.
Candidate Profile
Ideal applicants should have prior management experience, preferably in quick service restaurants, hospitality, or retail sectors. Candidates must be at least 18 years old to qualify for this managerial position.
